Lenovo S10-2 Netbook
S10-2 is at smallest of the series, with 10.1-inch small screen with 1024 x 600 The format is convenient in
terms of portability, it can fit in most cases and bags. The width is sufficient that one can write comfortably on
it, it gets a little closer than on a normal keyboard, but not more than a few centimeters.
S10-2 delivers what you would expect of a mini laptop from one of the leading suppliers. It feels solid and of
good quality feel.
The keyboard has keys with a light but defined pressure point. The layout is excellent, but the Fn key is
located on the left edge of the Ctrl key. Some like this, but most users and manufacturers prefer Fn within the
Control key. Most people get used to it anyway.
The screen is blank, there we do not know if we like it or not, but many think it gives pictures and film extra
depth and character.
Viewing angle is limited, but it applies to all reasonable mini-notetbooks.
It can be problematic when you sit tight and you can not bend the screen backwards. For example on the
train,airplane or at the bus. Then both color and contrast drops when screen is not in the correct position.
Built-in 3G is a brilliant solution to the netbooks, provided you have a reasonable subscription when it comes
to data traffic. S10-2 worked perfectly with this connection, it works fast and comfortable, of course, assuming
the connection is good. The coverage is variable, both geographically and between providers.
Performance
The performance of the Atom N280 is a little better than the N270 which is more common. Playback of HD video in
720p was excellent, but 1080 is generally not something for the netbooks. The screen size can not resize the
format, so we consider this not as some weakness.
Performance whas good and a little bit better than lenovo ideapad 12. To test the battery we playd video for 178
minutes, and this is very good.
Quick Start is installed on the netbook, this launches the Internet browser,mediaplayer
and e-mail very quick.
Please note that the price increase with the 3G card installed.
